Renovating a flat to let
In Benidorm much of the work is rental apartments, whether you manage them yourself or not. The goal is different there: the flat has to survive heavy turnover and be quick to repair. That means continuous flooring with no joints to collect dirt, branded taps with easy spares, washable paint and a kitchen where every part can be replaced. Anything beautiful that cannot be fixed within 24 hours has no place here.
Working between seasons
Every week an apartment is under works is a week it is not let, so in Benidorm we plan in windows: dates fixed by contract, trades overlapped where possible, and a handover date. If the building restricts working hours — and almost all of them do — that goes into the schedule from the start, not into the excuses afterwards.

Materials that survive turnover and can be repaired quickly: continuous flooring, branded taps with easy spares, washable paint and a kitchen with replaceable parts. Anything beautiful that takes a month to repair costs more than it saved.
Can the works be done between seasons?
That is how we plan here. Dates fixed by contract, trades overlapped where possible and a set handover day. If the building restricts working hours — and almost all do — that is in the schedule from the start.
